1998 Chevy 2wd SMB - Georgia
Just found this, not sure why I didn't see it before but not a bad van for under $15K.

From the ad:
For sale is a 1998 Sportsmobile camper van based off of a 1998 Chevy 3500 Express van. About 160,000 miles on the odometer. Interior is in fantastic condition. Previously owned by retired people, so they took good care of it.
Sportsmobile is a company that has been around since 1961. Their business is converting full size vans into small living spaces. One of their signature features is the pop top, or penthouse, that is on the top of the van. It gives extra standing room, and converts into a sleeping area.
This particular vehicle was converted from a chevy van, which has the 350 cu in / 5.7 L motor in it. Mechanical work in the last 10,000 miles includes: new front brake pads and discs, front wheel bearings, new rear brake shoes, new tires, tune up (spark plug and wires, distributor cap, rotor, fuel filter, pcv valve), transmission fluid change, new front end (idler arms, center links, tie rods), new fuel pump, new evap canister, and new purge solenoid. Also has a stereo with auxiliary audio input (great for long road trips). Averages about 14 mpg using standard gas. Also has a tow package.
Features of the RV area include a couch/bed on the bottom, pop top with sleeping area and screened windows, propane stove, deep cycle batteries with isolator, 120V outlets (can only be used when hooked up to shore power though), AC for the back part of the cabin (also needs shore power), chemical toilet, closet, slide out pantries (VERY COOL!!), awning, electric refrigerator, privacy curtains, water heater, fresh water tank, sink, shower house for outdoor showers, and lots of storage.
And in the interest of full disclosure there is some hail damage on the hood.
All in all, it is a pretty awesome van that is ready to go at a moments notice, and doesn't look like a camper driving down the road.
If you have any questions, please feel free to email me. I'm relatively firm on the price, but you can make an offer if you would like. Thanks for looking.
