Would you actually buy this?
7.3l with 250k miles
Has the bumpers and roof rack which are a plus..

Just a little concerned with the mileage.. apparently the Carfax shows great history of maintenance.

What do you think?

Looks in great shape. Not sure which shop "recently" made the conversion in SoCal (beach/license plate), but I would assume with a coil-over front end that it was Agile Offroad? If you're serious probably call them to see what they though of the van.

My guess is it’s the guy that does conversions down in Mexico. Can’t remember his name. A lot of people have noted that he uses good components, but the assembly leaves a lot to be desired.

The ebay post indicates SALVAGE title. I'd want to know the backstory there.
As far as the off road package items (bumpers, racks) personally i look at those as bonus, meaning those are easy to add on later. Unless Im buying a full optioned van, Id rather own something sound mehanically THEN add on the off-road goodies.

but then if I look at houses I check the roof, HVAC, and foundation first.

Exactly. The extras are nice but I’m trying to find out if it’s going to leave me stranded.
He says the salvage title comes from a a minor fender bender with no damage outside of cosmetics..
He’s not replying so I’m getting turned off on the van but he did send me a counter offer..

Hmmm

I’m sensing a red flag on this one. There’s more knowledgeable people on this forum than I but My understanding is that it takes Frame damage to end up with a salvage title....? Which of course is not a minor fender bender

Yep - the 250k on a well maintained PSD would not deter me but that salvage title is a pox.

This "minor accident" "no frame damage" stuff - unless there's a gopro video of it - I never buy it. Well - I did - once - and it turned into a nightmare.

Just remember - it probably buffed right out :-)

Vans de Javier or Crow vans. Buyer beware.

Some giveaways are the aluminess looking bumpers, non factory paint jobs, the 4x4 sticker which is typically found on a Quigley but they don't have the "powerstroke" on it. 7.3l engines, etc.

Agile only does TTB conversions, no straight axle with a 4" lift and 33" tires for the most part.
