Re: 2002 Ford E350 EB, Gasoline V10

My business partner went and took a look at this SMB last night for me - was impressed. However, I have a few questions (my first SMB) before I take the plunge - hoping someone on the forum can help.

1. How much is it to add propane and a furnace plus water heater to an existing SMB? This does not have either.

2. Should I be concerned about the Quigley 4X4? I have read some negative comments - what should I check with on this?

3. I am planning to use this for skiing so insulation is important - is there an easy way to check this and is it a nightmare to add more insulation?

4. Any members near Burien willing to talk an educated look?

This is not exactly what I want, but very close and just wondering what my cost would be to bring this up to what I need - and this is a great deal.

Any help, advice, comments greatly appreciated.

Re: 2002 Ford E350 EB, Gasoline V10

I am working with Van Specialties in Portland and have received pricing for those items for my bare van. Don't know if they would apply to a retrofit, but here they are:

5 gallon Propane system - $1200
Furnace with 2 vents - $1100 - a retrofit would also require cabinet mods
State inspection with CO/LP detector, smoke detector, and fire extinguisher $330

I'm not getting a water heater but their price for a sink is $800 which includes the plumbing, so I would guess a water heater would be $1200-1500 since cabinet and body mods are needed.

I only got one email back from the owner earlier in the week, I guess that explains why he hasn't replied. Hope the new owner enjoys it, didn't like the color but a great deal.
