2005 Ford Econoliner E 350 6.0 deisel Auto trans 100,000 miles 2 Tvs dvd player . Van is set up with four seats and seperated from front to back . It has cabinets in back and will accomidate 1 full size motox bike . If you pulled cabinets will hold 3. Here is the fun part the van is ten inches higher than stock yep I said it !!!! I think he's gonna have a tough time getting 14k. Such an aggressive lift with 2wd, no lockers, no mention of gearing, no significant camper components (electrical, propane, water), no armor.... just a lift and some cabinet... and 100k miles.

A good lift (not blocks and crap) is what? maybe 1/2 to the price of a 4x4 conversion, in the 4~6k range for a E350, and 4x4 is 10~18k depending on options. So considering that, audio stuff & interior and the extortionate price some of the modified vans are listed as, I think it a reasonable price.
That lift will probably make it a dam site quicker off road than most 4x4 vans since it's got real travel and not limited like 4x4's due to the axle. But that depends on if you want to rock crawl or blast down washboard roads.
Anyway, it's not mine, just figured it may be of interest to someone wanting to do a conversion.

If I were going to buy this van, I would have to factor in at least the cost of a locker. You're right, that lift would allow you to run a nice clip across relatively level terrain, even if it's rough with rocks and rollers. The problem comes when you have to climb something. Just a patch of gravel on a good slope could inhibit this van. However, that is a desirable engine. Finished out, it could be a very nice van.

Im sure it looks good rolling down the "highway". I couldn't always afford the 4x4 but I always wanted one for another 10k that van would go from poser to badass.

We may be a tough crowd, but when someone lists something like 10" of lift and it looks more like 4-5" it makes me wonder what else is not exactly true about the ad.

It's a lot more than 4" or 5". The tires look like about 34 on 20" rims, and the fenders just cover the top of the tire. On your or my Quigley with 4" rear and 2" front 32" tires come 1/2 way up the fender wells.

I also don't know that you can say that the lift is half the price of a total 4x4 conversion.

That would mean the lift would cost half.

The other half would cover:

Front Axle
T-Case
possible drag link, coils, custom suspension mounts, track bars, possible rear axle mods
Upgraded wheels

I just don't buy that math.

Anyway, neither here nor there. I actually don't think it's a horrible deal, but there are used Quigleys on eBay often enough with equivalent deals. 100000 is a lot of miles on some of those components.

6" 2wd lift runs about $2000 for parts + another $700 for install, $200 for steering damper.

Then any spring upgrades are in addition to that. Good long travel coils like that van has are easily $600+ and then good long travel shocks can be $400. Then if the rear has Deaver springs (which Camburg installs too) then that's another ~$2000.


BTW - ad doesn't say 10" lift. It says 10" higher than stock. 6" lift + taller tires + aftermarket springs... sounds reasonable.
