Couldn't resist and called the dealership. I talked to the owner and this is his personal van.
As the story goes... seemed like a straight shooter, loves the van, but is replacing it with a Unimog Expedition Vehicle and planing a SA trip.
He purchased it in AZ as a 2wd Sportsmobile with the Penthouse Top and interior build out complete as pictured. New pictures will be posted soon as all the cabinets have been refaced and are no longer wood grain but now white. This was done at a local Idaho Falls cabinet shop just recently. He is also having a diesel heater installed today.
The 6.0 has the EGR Delete and several other upgrades done to it with all receipts available. It currently only has 29,000 miles on it.
The 4x4 conversion was done by
CBI OffRoad Fab, also in Idaho Falls, and uses all post 2005 F350 4x4 components and custom control arms. I think this could be compared to a several other converters that use the same components, like QuadVan, Colorado Camper Vans, Boulder Off Road and others.
The bumpers, rack and ladder are Aluminess, with the right rear swing-out modified by him to carry his particular needs.
It has Atlas rear springs, new wheels and tires and several other upgrades.
This appears to be a really nice SMB.
The asking price is not $23,995 though - he is asking $69,900.
I hope this helps.
