You'll get a reply, in about a day or two. Several of you probably know this but they all work the same and they are creative enough to come up with these scams but they never update/change their tactics hardly at all. Whoever inquires, 2 days later you'll get the same old reply most of us have heard of. Seller overseas (military, missionary, work) and van must be sold quickly and will be delivered to you, etc. etc.
There IS a new one I've seen, though. Within a few minutes of listing something for sale on CL you'll get a text (if you listed your number, which I do because most people are text friendly these days) saying to please email 'my wife' or 'my friend' at ****** email address, then you're dispatched up the scammer's chain of command, apparently, and offered the same old scam as before. I'll give you $300 for your $200 item and I'm paying you via Paypal or Western Union and I need it shipped.....etc. etc.
Don't get sucked in!
