Just stumbled across this one.......I'm struggling to imagine how the owner managed to spend $130K on this rig.........

Re: 2007 EB PSD 4WD

Obviously it was the cost of installing Dana 40 axles on a van.

That, and a bunch of inverters.

If anyone is interested in a similar van, I would be happy to build you a brand new one for only $125,000.

Re: 2007 EB PSD 4WD

Maybe the cost was in the (rare) transmission. Considering it was the only transmission offered with the 6,0.

Re: 2007 EB PSD 4WD

The interior conversion probably was not cheap. You actually could not order a diesel extended passenger van, because Ford decided all extended wagons required RSC in 2005, and the 6.0 was never made RSC compatible.

It was possible to order a window van with the wagon bits and pieces, but this one went above that with a pretty well done interior IMO.

Plus, maybe he's including all his 6.0 repair expenses in his total

Got it. I didn't realize/recognize that he turned a cargo van into a wagon. That explains a fair amount of the cost, but that's going to be a tough number to recover from when selling it.

IMO, if he actually addressed the EGR and the oil cooler, that adds value and he should mention it.
