2007 FORD HD E-150 SPORTSMOBILE

Found this on my local CL. Looks like SMB did the insulation and lighting (based on my visual observation). The rest of the interior looks very nice too.

Nicely done interior. The teak makes for a great look. You can tell the cabinets were done by a high end boat shop great attention to detail.

Yeah it definitely looks very nice from yhe pics posted. Just add a pop top and you're set. Although, it's built on a 1/2 ton chassis so that might deter some people. For the casual camper (like myself) I think it would be nice to have.

2007 was the first year for the E150 chassis upgrade. Starting that year, it adopted the same frame/axles/wheels/tires are the E250/E350 RB vans, and the GVWR grew to a corresponding 8600 pounds, which formerly wore an E250 badge but they bumper it slightly to make space for the "E150-HD". It does have slightly softer springs (than an E250) which allows it to be "garageable".

From the picts it looks like its got 8-lug wheels so its the uprated E150. Previous E150s as you know have the 5-lug wheels. Its really nice inside, I like the cabinetry. The 4.6 may be a little too mild for most folks ..

The entire lineup got the an upgrade in 2008. The 2007 E150 will have the same (non-updated) E250/350 running gear. But that also means that a 2007 E150 can be easily upgraded to the 2008+ hardware. If you did the same on an older E150, you'd have to change the front wheels and then you'd have mismatched axles unless you upgraded the rear axle too.

You can definitely see that its 8 lug. Thanks for the info! If anyone is interested in this rig, I live about 25 minutes from it. I will offer to go check it out if you are a serious buyer.

Just for the record, those are not SMB light fixtures and the top trim looks a little off for being SMB. It makes no sense to have SMB do the walls and ceiling of a non-PH and then an interior by someone else- I mean, get the PH and the have upscale interior put in? Makes to total sense. Have SMB do a non-top van but not the interior?

But they had SMB do the door trim and storage compartments too! Yeah, found the mix of who-did-what interesting.
