Came across this one this morning. Decent start for a simple buildout with the poptop and bed

"As an added bonus there is NO kitchen inside so therefore NO food has been cooked in it and it doesn’t smell."

Thoughts? How much to add 4x4 and kitchen, heat, etc...worth the hassle, or continue to look?? Thank you

$20k to add 4x4 and then you can spend anywhere from $2k -$50k to add the rest depending on who you choose to build it out.

Is it worth it? This is a good price for a low mileage van. If it has the 5.4 v8 it’s a great base. The top is worth $10k alone, so he’s valuing the van at about $12k with $3k leftover for the other interior work. I think it’s fair but not a steal and not a rip off.

Thank you very much, Grampswrx. As I look, is that the best engine to be looking for? I know this is a matter of opinion and preference, but, I’d love yours. It seems correct (?) to steer clear of diesel just due to cold weather starts where it wont be plugged in somewhere. Thank you very much.

Awesome configuration and low miles. Seems a bit precious but it has its merits.

Thank you. There is a 2003 V-8 4.6L in Ventura, 114,000 mi. It does not have the camper accoutrements nor 4 wd, but it does have a camper top. It’s intriguing, although would leave a lot for me to get done.

Personally, I think a 4.6L in a full size van isn't adequate. It's fair in my Crown Vic, but I would avoid it in a van, let alone a campervan.

Herb
I completely agree. I have the 5.4 and it’s great. But I wouldn’t want any less power.
