Re: 4x4 Chinook

That's a really sweet rig, but the seller should know that the 2 chairs are original. Chinooks were offered that way. It's called the 'club' model or somethin' like that.

Also, I hope that 1200 lb. winch pulls that 12000 lb. rig out of the muck!

Why, oh why, do people let their sh!t fall apart when listing stuff on Craigslist? Does no one read back over the ad before they post it? I should start a 'best of CL' car ad thread. Some around here are absolutely hilarious. I guess people don't realize spell check is an option any computer offers you, and you only look stupid when you DON'T use it.

$52K OBO? Sounds a little optimistic, but a nice setup.

Were all Chinook 4x4's converted by Salem Kroger?

I think it is, especially considering that it's the bare-bones Chinook (Premier). They all look alike until you look closely, but the Concourse is the only one I would go with. Much nicer interior materials and options. I'm not knocking the van, but I do think it's pretty high. You can get a nice, really loaded Concourse for $25k in my part of the country, that is as soon as you find one, and I would think for no more than 15K more you could make it 4x4 plus goodies.

Re: 4x4 Chinook

I've always wanted to see one of these 4x4s in person. We'd pick a used born free or the like for a custom 4x4 conversion over a Chinook, we prefer a side entry. We also have an affinity for school buses so that would probably win out so our opinion is greatly jaded.
