4X4 conversion parts on CL

http://sfbay.craigslist.org/pen/pts/3520460520.html

not mine, but I contacted the guy, to see if he had any other parts I need.

He got back to me, with the following message. Looks like he wants out of the entire van project, new conversion parts, used axles, etc. someone might be able to get a real deal on a project!

...CL Ad; 4X4 Van Conversion Parts - $500 (belmont)

Hi Tom,

I wish I could be more helpful, but I don't have most of those things. I have wheels for it, stock Superduty wheels (the ones with 8 holes around the outside and otherwise solid) that I was going to powdercoat black. I have the stock BW shifter from a 1991 Bronco that the t-case came out of that I was planning to adapt to the Van by some means, but I don't know if that will help you much. Good luck with the van, it is very sad for me to let all this go but its a sad realization that I just won't have the time/space/money to finish this project for at least a few more years. I missed my window to finish it before the move from WA down to here.

If you know of anyone looking to build a 4x4 van I can work out a good package deal on my van and all parts. Its a 5.4 but its really a better little engine that anyone gives it credit for, I've grown to really appreciate it. The van itself is in awesome shape and is a 2000 extended cargo van with barn doors.

Sean

thought I would pass it along... ---Tom

I think this guy is on EXPO if I remember correctly... sounds like a familiar story.

Wow, not too far away from me in SF . . .very tempting, but probably more work than I can swing right now.
