96 4x4 SMB in Vegas for $11k!

This popped up today. Likely will be gone fast at $11,000. Even if it needs some work, seems like a killer deal.

http://lasvegas.craigslist.org/cto/4682888923.html

1996 Ford 1 ton 4 x 4 hightop conversion made by sports Mobile. This unit is fully self-contained with a large winch pull out canopy 185 k automatic propane stove heater freshwater sink fridge lots of cabinets. Title in hand 11,000 or best offer it's got the bigger 71 L 460 engine.

This is a cash price today. It was recently purchased. Compared to other similar 4 x 4 1 ton vans The price reflects Minor rehab that would need to be done by the new owner . Pictures shown do not include A detailing that will be done tomorrow . Or any additional expenses I would incur. It has been sitting for three years. BFGoodrich tires are in great condition including spare. No full bathroom. Comes with porta potty . Rear area has lots of room for storage.

Get it checked out before you buy! That van would look amazing with blacked out bumpers, fender flares and a ladder!

Re: 96 4x4 SMB in Vegas for $11k!

If someone is seriously considering a fly in drive out purchase, I would have all fluids drained and replaced, including the gas tanks. It appears it has been sitting for a few years, and may only have one tank working at this time.
It has 184K on the speedo. Relatively unknown history. Guy said he bought it at a lien sale at a storage facility, and has the title? HMMMMMM?
I wouldn't do a fly and drive without replacing the tires either.
If the engine and tranny are whipped, your 11K deal could be 20K real fast.

Good Luck

Auto locking hubs? Unusual.

The gaucho looks really short to me. It does have the provision for the extension, but it still may not be enough for taller people. Since that is the only sleeping surface, any potential buyer should measure the bed to make sure they will fit on it.
