All of them.

Ha ha jk I don't know, but I wouldn't buy a 4wd van that wasn't on of the Quigley/Quadvan/Ujoint/Agile/MG types.

Heh. Sure, if I did it over again today, with an e-series, I'd get an agile conversion, unless I moved to the other side of the country, in which case I'd go ujoint. (I'm discounting MG at this point, only because I've already experienced roughly that setup. -- Unless they can get me a CARB compliant cummins swap. ) But I have considerably more resources now than I did in 09. Then again, that could change pretty quickly.

I still don't regret buying the one I did. I don't think they made more than about a couple k in labor (and seemed happy with that) after you figure the base vehicle and the axles, which isn't unreasonable. I do wish their sales guy had known of and/or explicitly discussed some shortfalls.

Mad science - I totally understand where your coming from. If you check out my build I am sure we have shared a similar van journey, and while I don't regret buying my van, I do regret not making sure I knew what I was getting into.

Anyone know how to spot a Javier van when you see one? May be looking at a 4x4 van down in San Diego soon

^^^ the price is usually the first giveaway. generally a too good to be true price, is just that... if you have any doubts, post up the add and let these gents have a look. some of these guys have seen most every conversion out there and can id it from pix pretty easily.

They are typically freshly converted 10-15 year old vans with usually 100k or more miles on them. All caps is also common in their ads.

They use the radius arms from the f-series with their own welded brackets. This does mean their vans end up with the newer f-series (full float in rear) axles as well. Many of them seem to have their own racks, ladders and bumpers (mine doesn't).

The add states "or best offer cash talks". Don't pay full asking. They are in the business of converting and selling vans at the bottom end of the market.
