Anybody in Tampa FL area next week?
I am going to be doing a build-in in Apollo Beach FL, just south of Tampa, all next week 9-24 thru 9-28. I'm camping at E.G. Simmons Park, right on Tampa Bay. Any forum folks in the area?

So, when does the preview of the movie hit our screens?
FYI, you might be overdressed in Florida with your sleevless shirts. Just sayin'

Re: Anybody in Tampa FL area next week?
Anyone in Tampa area that could take a look for me - I'm 800 miles away and I don't want to buy a lemon! The SMB that was on Ebay that went for $5000 is not being offered to me as a second change - I was the second highest bidder. Should I go for it?

Re: Anybody in Tampa FL area next week?
Did you mean now being offered? And I'm assuming being offered at your last bid, not the bid that backed out.
Anyway, yeah go for it. You can always sell it to pntyrmvr if it goes bad.

Yeah, I'm being offered the van at my bid - $4950. I am just worried about not being able to look at it or drive it. If I knew someone in Tampa....but I don't.

Lol Jage,
also, be careful of second chance offers. I've never gotten or done one but I've heard a lot of scams start this way.
Good luck!

Can you say you'll take it and head down there without a deposit? I mean- you have to go get it anyway, the second chance may be an opportunity to avoid the deposit (eg. avoid the potential scam), and if it's not what you expected, walk away. The cost of returning home without the van is worth it, unfortunate but a risk sometimes. Considering they are a repo lot and work outside of eBay, they should be willing to work outside of eBay; meaning like a normal buyer coming to see the vehicle, test drive it and buy it at a previously agreed price.
