Cheapo PH

From Ebay:

I'd buy it, but it's not expensive enough.

Re: Cheapo PH

Thanks for the tip Zeta. Since I have time right now I might go and get this top. I was thinking of building one myself as I think I would like something different that is currently available from Sportsmobile, GTRV or CCV. I was thinking of getting a VW Eurovan Weekender top and using it for my starting point but this might be even better.

Re: Cheapo PH

Gotta love the shotgun-blast-at-close-range look of the corners!

It appears that they cut the hole for the vent/fan with a backhoe

Re: Cheapo PH

No doubt about how beat up it is and the corners do look like a shot gun blast now that you say it but for $345 plus a tank of gas to get it it would be a great starting point for my ideas. I want a SMB Penthouse looking top but with a more finished look in the front (think VW Westy front luggage area) and hidden weather seal (think reversed lip fixed roof). I want gray not tan tenting and some kind of hidden awning thats why I want to make one not buy one, well that and I have extra time but not money right now.

If any of you have any other things you think would make a better pop top please let me know.
