Clean Poptop 1993 EB SMB nice interior only $6000 SoCal

Ok, so it’s a stodgy dodge EB, but this looks like a great low budget SMB. It’s very well kept, and the blue upholstery and wood grain is surprisingly modern looking for a 1993. I think this only has 83,000 miles.

Sounds like it has a computer issue to where it won’t pass CA smog...shouldn’t be too hard to fix and could be leverage to get it at a lower price.

Any experience with replacing an ECM? Anything to look out for? Is it as simple as ordering the part and having a shop replace it?

I have several Dodges and the ECM is a piece of cake to swap.

I don’t understand the buyers comments about looking for a purchaser who can find a California unit. Chrysler sells them. About $350 trade price. No big deal.

Strange ad actually. Good price. The thing will run forever with basic maintenance.

I thought as long as it has over 7500 miles, it can be registered in CA even if it's federal emissions. Smog doesn't involve the tailpipe sniffer anymore anyways.

A 93 is OBD1 so it is not plug and play for an emissions test. Visual on the computer for Cal appropriate numbers and the pipe sniff I imagine. Seller says he passed this year so again I’m confused.
