I did personally run an ad once to sell a car, but I clearly stated the vehicle was for sale locally and would terminate the auction if it sold locally.

We tried to buy that van. I think it really is sold now. The dealership gave us back our deposit and we ended up buying locally. They pulled it from ebay when someone came up with the cash they wanted quicker than us. Ended auction early.... We got a great one locally from private party, perfect for us. It all worked out. We didn't try a credit union but all other banks won't loan on SMB's right now. Financing is tricky in this economy, not like it used to be...
