Actually, unless you really make a big mess of a wreck, fiberglass is not that bad to repair. I have knocked a few holes in boats over the years and just matching the outer color is the hardest part. I worry more about collision durability and passenger safety with an all fiberglass van, for example the SMB Classic under development. At least it still has the Ford front end.
