Escape Van Sales - 3k-4k
Hi All,
A bunch of vans are for sale in LA for low budget. I have driven with one of them and the setup is good.
However, the mileage seems huge. Especially for a rental van. What's your thought about them (no comment on painting:-)

Looks some good deals. Milage on those doesn't worry me. I've been in Econolines with double that and then some.

They all probably have the Triton V8 which is a good engine. The company should also be able to give you all the service records for the van you are interested in. Not sure if you would want convert an E150 to 4x4 though.

I wouldn’t value them much more than a regular window van, as the interior build out is pretty sparse. Not really a campervan IMO.

Powertrains are the same. Biggest differences are the lighter frame and axles, but they still seem to hold up fine. Regular wear and tear items (ball joints, tie rods, brakes etc) should be expected to need some TLC.

Still could be good candidate for an Agile TTB setup, with near-stock size tires.

Not bad value especially if they have front and rear ac that works. I see these all the time on the road in So Cal. Says a lot they keep them for that many miles.

I don't think most of the SMB crowd will be interested because they are light duty and spartan setups, but for entry level #vanlife mobiles they will sell like hotcakes.
Keep in mind they've been rode hard and put up wet by families and cannabis tourists for many seasons, so they will smell like ass. Perhaps a good thing to some but not to most.
