Re: FYI - Diesel 4x4 EB 2005 $13,000
I can't tell for sure, but is that a sliding rear door? Would that interfere with any interior conversion work? I called about this van and the contact is selling it for someone else and wasn't able to tell me who did the 4x4 conversion which seemed a little odd. Was looking for a quigley of 4x4 stamp in the pics and don't see anything. Also, said it needs a compressor for the ARB locker. Any idea what kind of cost with that sort of repair? Wish I lived in Vegas as this seems like a pretty good deal.

The sliding door will limit the size tire you can use other than that thats it. It could be an Advanced 4X4 conversion They are out of Salt Lake City and they put their sticker in the driver door jam.

Re: FYI - Diesel 4x4 EB 2005 $13,000
13,000 for rig
3,000 for fiberine top
15,000 for RVI build out
5,000 worth of aluminess
4,000 for stuff
$40,000 for a killer custom rig
that IMHO is a great deal

I'm sorry for being such a newbie with 4x4 van conversions, but what would be the biggest size tires that could go on a van with the sliding rear door? Would a lift provide room for bigger tires or is it a matter of the door hitting the rear tire which has nothing to do with a lift?
Wonder what the odds are of this van still being around next weekend? Would love to take a ride to Vegas.

Re: FYI - Diesel 4x4 EB 2005 $13,000
Hitting a wider tire. Quadvan makes a door extension to clear larger tires, but unless it's a Quadvan 4x4, my understanding is they won't even discuss it. More here:
viewtopic.php?f=2&t=6002&p=53229&hilit=sliding+doo r#p53229
I'd say the odds are worse than a 2/7 off suit that it will still be there, less if you don't call the guy and let him know you're interested.

Re: FYI - Diesel 4x4 EB 2005 $13,000
I dont know how wide a tire you could use. You could lift it high enough to miss the tire but that would be a big ass lift. you could also use a inset rim so you could go to a wider tire. The thing I would consider is that van looks like a extended and I would wont to put spacer's in the front rear which would push the wheels even further out again inset rims would help with that. I have a Slider now it ok i dont love it.

Would a slider door interfere with installing any of the van tops offered by Sportsmobile?
