Bizarre write-up, indeed. I wouldn't even consider looking at in person based on that ad copy.
I agree it is strange, but he seems to know what he has fairly well. Using Ebay and CL these days is just a scammer and tire kickers paradise. It looks like he's just saying "skip the BS, here it is if you want it". It will sell. It's a nice 4x4 van. I think it would sell much quicker if he didn't use a picture of a scratch for the main pic, and perhaps if he didn't remind you how much it was going to cost you to maintain, but it will still sell. I get this popup on Ebay ads lately saying how many people are visiting a page per hour. This one is getting 19 visits per hour. Not bad.
