Re: Now THIS is cool...

I apologize as well, Mac... Didn't realize (hard to tell via text) you were trying to be funny. Regardless of Mike's perception of your comments, they seemed sarcastic to me. Re-read them with my view and you'll undersrtand. was wrong.

Times are tough for A LOT of people (not me...lol), and they can't afford the nicer rigs like ours. If I see a van like this one, with supposedly a new engine, trans, intact interior for 500 bucks, I figure someone here may be interested. Personally, I dig it, but that's just me. I'm the old school Jesse James type, and I saw the potential... Since you're not the only one who thought it was uncool, I'll refrain from posting stuff for sale...lol

No reason to stop posting. Different people have different views. That's what makes us unique. It doesn't make one person right and another wrong. It just means people have different tastes. Keep on posting your views and your news. That's what makes this site so fun to read. If you want some real fun, visit my discussion stream on carrying a handgun while camping. That's a topic that can open a can of worms. But it just caused some great discussion. Then, of course, there is the discussion of which 4x4 conversion is best. Everyone has a different perspective . . . thank goodness. Otherwise this would be a boring world.

Re: Now THIS is cool...

Will check it out. I happen to be a recently retired SWAT sniper / police detective, and that thankfully comes with Obama's HR218 law, enabling me to carry my high-capacity Glock .40 cal within all of the states.

It's a great feeling, not having to worry about illegally carrying. Plus, my K9 is still in his prime, so Im basically worry-free when I camp...

Maybe now you see why Im on the cynical side of things...

As far as the best conversion, Id have to say Pathfiner, which mine happens to be. lol
The guys at Sportsmobile marveled over the "stoutness" Uses all leaf spring mounted ford Dana 60's (rear full floater), the largest hubs Ford offers, 6 inch lift, Mud terrains, and it drives 75 like glass... They welded EVERYTHING.

Yeah
Don't you know by now. There is no selling on "that" site. That "Blair" guy is one strict dude.

Re: Now THIS is cool...

I think we need to get this discussion back to the fact that this is a pretty cool van for 800 bucks. It reminds me of a van I inherited in 1979 from my father-in-law when he passed away. It had a flat steering wheel. I felt like a bus driver driving it. It was a lot of fun.
