How/which parts would differ from a 1 ton? Smaller axles?

For anything prior to 2007, yes. That one linked has 5-lug axles, so probably a Dana 44 up front. Also the springs are rated much lower. Depending who did the conversion, they may have also used a lighter-duty transfer case because it would have been easier to source one for the AODe transmission which would have come in that van (E250 and E350 vans got the E4OD).

It might be IFS, according to the ad, it's kinda snuck in there unless IFS doesn't mean what I would think it means. In which if it is, maybe a quadvan conversion? IIRC they do IFS.

Looks like a Dana 44 TTB from Clydesdale - not worth the work to do anything with it.
