PHX CL 2010 SMB V10 $40k

Not mine. Nice-looking van with nice setup, at a very good price. Not sure about the rebuilt title due to "lightning strike" though... I would image that fried all the electronics. Curious if that's something that can really be fully remediated?

I imagine the lighting strike could have damaged most or all of the electric modules (PCM, ABS, RSC if equipped, airbags, etc) but wiring would likely be ok since any high current would blow the fuses before the wiring was damaged. It probably wasn't easy to replace all of them, but at the same time, a good systems check should tell you if they're all functioning now.

Salvage title generally worth 20-40% less, depending. So is this, without a salvage title, worth $50-70k? I'd say that's a bit high, but who knows?

Also, one thing to be aware of, some insurance companies may balk at salvage title.

What about the one listed for 39k it;s right below this one on the board. What do you think about the price? I have read many of your post and you sound very knowledgable

What are you looking for needhelp??

Unfortunately some pricing is subjective, especially with home builds. Like rally said, this one is a salvage, so there are issues with that and you have to accept some risk. But it's a very well decked out van with a great drivetrain.

The other van you are looking at is also really nice, but it's subjective because it's a home build, so it's up to you if you like the build or not or if they did a good job. It's certainly a nice van.

Other than price, what are your criteria in looking for a van?

I ask because I have been in your shoes. Folks around here put me on the path.

+1

Other van is a home build, so hard to gauge. Definitely worth less than a SMB build, but how much less? Depends on build quality, component quality, and your personal preference.
