I previously had an Vanagon AW, the Ford AW goes over the Sierras much better and is much cooler going through the Mojave in the summer......

AW comes from a boating background, hence the marine appearance.


Those tops are still being produced to fit Vanagons. A Canadian company (NAHT-North American High Top) bought the original AW molds and the tops are available, along with the NAHT original that is a different profile.


Oh, and the spelling of the name is Adventurewagen (as in "VAH-gun").


That Ford is a beauty.
