Re: Sportsmobile Camper Van 4x4 Diesel - One Owner, Must see

Love to get some forum members feedback on getting a 4x4 this old.

if one made all the assumptions that things are OK and it needs about $3000 worth of work done to it given things never done to it and perhaps overlooked in the past.

What is afair $ figure to put on something this old. I know the layout is old and such.
I know the 7.3 is not a turbo model....

Would love input here or PM me as I am wanting to get a 4x4as my last project was a nightmare.

thanks all

How do you know it's not turbo?

Re: Sportsmobile Camper Van 4x4 Diesel - One Owner, Must see

I've read that the turbo version of the 7.3L came out in either 1993 or 1994, for both the pickups and the vans, so a '94 model year van could possibly be either. IIRC, none of the 7.3L vans ever had an intercooler.

[EDIT: Came across this info regarding the engine code VIN character, but I can't vouch for it's accuracy.]

M = 7.3 IDI NA
K = 7.3 IDI turbo
F = 7.3 DI turbo Power Stroke
