Stretch 7.3 with low miles and 4x4

I've never seen anything quite like it. Really low miles on a 7.3 and 4x4....I don't hate it? http://www.ebay.com/itm/Ford-E-Series-V ... 1726653511

One of a kind for sure.

Would be a not terrible home built RV platform.. ..not for me though.

Re: Stretch 7.3 with low miles and 4x4

Is it actually 4 wheel drive, or did they make it FRONT wheel drive? The undercarriage pics make me suspicious of the latter.

Re: Stretch 7.3 with low miles and 4x4

What would be the point of 4x4 on that thing? It's so low slung I doubt it could drive into a gas station without getting hung up on the curb cut.

Re: Stretch 7.3 with low miles and 4x4

Seems like how low that floor is in the passenger area its likely just front wheel drive.

Re: Stretch 7.3 with low miles and 4x4

There's actually a bunch of those out there, but with the standard transit doors and windows, it looks much more like a typical shuttle, except with the cab and bigger wheels.

Most of them were sold under the ELF brand (Extra Low Floor). It is front wheel drive, usually with kneeling rear air ride. Newer low-floor shuttles now use a notched frame for the door, and 4-corner air-ride with drop knuckles on the front axle which maintains the stock drivetrain.
