Only way to keep tires much bigger than 35" out of the sheet metal is to limit the bump travel and lift the heck out of it - can you say Monster Truck.

He should have gone with a lower suspension lift, and added a body lift.

I actually like the red, even the bumpers (though I vaguely wonder if they are in fact the real thing, or if they aren't, if it matters). Not sure if the wheels/tires aren't too much.

I have one of his conversions, and I'll say again that it works for me. Those vans however are far from new before they are converted and should be inspected accordingly. -- Again, I'm happy with what I got, but did sort a couple things that I knew needed sorting when I bought it.

You can't fake that bumper shape. It's just easier to paint everything than to clean and tape and change colors, otherwise you end up with a used looking bumper and shiny new van.
