If one had two vans to consider that were comparable then yes that comparison is definitely worth making. But considering we are talking about a pretty unique product I'm not so sure one could ever really get two vans that are so close in condition, mileage, features etc. that the comparison boils down to something that simple.

Well you’ve been through a van purchase or two so I guess I’m not totally out of line!

Agree with pretty much all comments here. If it’s clean, buy the v10!

CL posting expired but it's on RVtrader along with the red 5.4 Gramps mentioned.

I bought the Red Traverse, worked the owner a bit on price, added 245's AT's with AR Baja Black rims, New Shocks, updated stereo, Thule Rack, and I'm good to go. A few friends have been nagging me to replace the Running Boards, but I think I am fine for now. May do an Airlock on RE, and a lift before a trip down Baja to Scorp's this summer.

Like you red Traverse, saw your post about adding new struts to the pop top. I need to do that. You mentioned you found some info on making a compression tool to assist with installing them. Do you have a reference for that? Thanks

Love Traverses...they are very similar to a GTRV...I have a red one too. Replacing the running boards with Bushwacker flares definitely improves the look...you can see before and after pics in my thread:

Post some pics of your rig when you get a chance.

SOrry for missing this, did you figure it out? I used a strong ratchet strap with a high test nylon cord on the other end for a good grip. I can send pics in a day or so if needed as I am out of town, but found a pic that led me to this after a long search online.

A pic is always helpful, I haven't tackled the project yet. Thanks!
