Wanted - Penthouse Tape

Wondering if anyone has any leftover penthouse tape they would like to get rid of. We need about three to four feet and would prefer not to buy an entire roll.

Larrie, you may want to be more specific and look for someone with an RB van who has done the tape. I did Bianca's van and if I remember right there is just about enough in one roll to do an EB van, so there should be just about that much left on an RB.

What kind of tape is that anyway? It has to be pretty specialized to withstand abrasion from the penthouse rubbing against it and the adhesive has to hold up to temperature and moisture extremes. I'm going to have to get some to cover a couple of bare spots on the roof.

Thanks!

It is definitely heavy duty stuff. The Sportsmobile Sportsmobile store sell it by the roll.

I see from the SMB website that it is mfg. by Avery. Avery's site lists a whole slew of tape selections. Does the tape SMB sells have a P/N or other identifying info? I don't need a whole roll. Not trolling for any freebies here, either, just want to see if I can find other suppliers who might sell a smaller quantity or get some other equivalent.

Just be careful with that tape. It caused a major rust issue on the roof of our SMB. Basically, water got trapped under the tape and rusted out the roof. After having the roof fixed, I had them put a rhino liner on the roof to avoid this issue in the future.

That's my plan as a long term fix: laying down a polyurethane (rhino or raptor) liner at the areas of contact on the roof with the penthouse, from reading other posts on the subject. In the interim, until I make time for that project, I'll use tape while keeping an eye out for rust underneath. Point well taken.
