Remember you cannot have a 7' 0" van either, because there is some angle and lip involved. My 1980s G20 fit in the old garage but only if I literally inched it along.

As Boywonder noted, if your door does not full open, completely clearing the frame at the top, this can usually be modified through an adjustment of the opener, springs, etc. Sometimes that extra inch or two is critical.

There is also a difference between old style solid door and rollup.

And while we're on it, the arm from the garage door controller extends down quite a bit if we're talking inches.

Or this dodge in Portland?

$11k and looks pretty clean (and pretty teal interior!)

Gaucho layout, but says it has seatbelts for 5.

Re: WTB well maintained inexpensive 2WD

I was on my way to look at the one in Spokane, listed at $7,000, raised to $8,000 after new breaks, when I got a text cancelling the meeting. Had multiple texts that I would have first rights on the rig as soon as they returned from one last trip. Then it reappeared for $12,000 with no courtesy call that they had decided that it was underpriced.... So not feeling real comfortable with the situation.

I almost called about the one in Portland. I am concerned about the milage. What are your thoughts on the Dodge transmissions and motors. I have heard that the transmissions need to be replaced at 120,000; and that the motors perhaps a short time later. I'm not sure what to do. a local friend who knows cars suggested I not buy anything with over 99,000 miles.

I have a full 71.75 inches with trim around the garage door, the door is a little higher.

Thank you for all your help!

Re: WTB well maintained inexpensive 2WD

Let's back up the bus (van) here a minute. So your garage opening is just a squeek less than 6' tall? Correct me if I am wrong, but I think that all the 'garageable' models were made to just barely fit in a 7' garage door. I'm not even sure if any full size van without a poptop will fit under 6'.
