00 7.3 E350 resonator??

I Just did some work on my van and deicided not to install the resonator cause its a pain in the a$#.

has anybody else done the same? and why.

I now have a drone that would be anoying on the road.

I can't figure out if its from my rebuilt pedestal and EVBP flap or not. cause I am still adjusting it since I just bought a way to test the 10lb weight setting.


just curious if anybody else has the drone. I dont recall it having it when I bought the van. but it has been down for 3 weeks from fixing stuff.

I've removed them a few times, haven't noticed a drone.

I have an aftermarket resonator in addition to my diamond eye turbo back 4" exhaust.

With the resonator it cut drone almost to a nil.

this would be on the intake side not the exhaust.

i will do some more tinkering. maybe put it back on eventually to see if goes away.

I still need to adjust the flap in the EVBP. and that might take care of it.

I removed mine when replacing the water seperator. I didnt notice any difference in sound, but I also drive a cargo and when I did this, I had all kinds of crap rattling around in back. ive since removed flooring and 2 lights from ceiling and its considerably quieter, but i still dont notice any droning at all.

well if its not my lack of resenator. maybe its my turbo about to blow up. hahaha

I just did my first pedestal and turbo rebuild.
