G'day.

My suggestions are,

1. Performance All Aluminium Radiator. www.performanceradiators.com

2. Run Cool Hood Louvers RunCool Hood Louvers - Hood Vents For Your Vehicle - Cool Your Engine

3. More insulation around dog box cabin engine cover, for noise & heat.

4. Exhaust manifold heat wrap bandage.

5. EGR delete, not legal, but very helpful. The egr can be blocked.
You investigate videos online. Mum's the word.

The biggest problem we all have is heat & air flow through the small engine
bay. The all aluminium radiator will disapate heat better, but add silicon hoses.
The hood vents will lower the engine temperature by 10f. Another option is to put
Insulation around the exhaust manifold, to keep cabin cooler and force heat out the exhaust.
There is a lot of heat around the exhaust manifold & turbo area
These improvements will help engine life.

Good Luck. Doug

I've got hood vents, 4 inch turbo back exhaust, EGTs and temps have never been a problem,,, kinda on the cooler side of the guages.

Im soon to do some more cooling and insulation. When I have the motor out.

If I'm not mistaken my 7.3L doesn't have the
EGR.
Thanks and I'm gladly listening to moar comments.

I'd like very much to do a HPOP but that can be done later after the van is running. But what I've heard is that a stronger HPOP will quiet down the motor/injectors and increase mpg just on a stock motor. SO I've heard....

Now I keep asking people that are knowledgeable and they keep saying to stay with stock injectors due to the drastic increase in EGTs. And one owner with stage 1 injectors and a tuner told me that he can't tow any weight up med-large hills with out having with back off or downshift to raise the rpm.

Yes! Of course I'm old enough to remember the catalog.
I'll be checking it out once I hit submit.
You should pull one valve cover to make sure that you have the same injectors. Ie; aa ab ac ad

Install a oil crossover line...makes idle noticeably smoother and easier on the rear injectors
Check all the fuel lines
Make sure oil pan is good

Could you please recommend a cross over line for me to buy?
I'll be pulling off both valve covers to replace the UCVH, so I'll take a look at which injectors are on the 2003 motor.
