Any fuel pump replacement advice? (gas)

Hi All,
I've got voltage all the way back to the fuel pump but the pump isn't running. I'd previously cut a hole in the floor of the van to access the pump assembly so I'll be going that route again as opposed to dropping the tank.
I'm looking to just replace the pump and not the whole assembly. Reading online it seems everyone sells the Airtex brand of replacement pumps and they are terrible. Anyone have any experience with fuel pump replacement they would care to share?
I'm all ears, or as we say around these parts "eers".
Thanks,
Dave

Does it make any noise? If yes, it may have just popped the line from the pump. If no, have you tried smacking the tank really hard? This will usually get you a few more starts.

You can get a an OE replacement pump. Delphi and Bosch are the actual OE MFGs.

I agree. Airtex pumps can be terrible. I've put some it that were bad out of the box.

Not a noise.

Thanks for the link. Looks like that's what I'll go for. It's twice the price of the Airtex but who wants to do this again in six months. I'll have to partially disassemble the interior to get to the floor hatch but I've constructed the inside of the van so everything bolts in or out.

Thanks again.
