Nice to see you on the forum.
I was heading out in the morning, and it just wouldn't start. They only thing replaced was the EGR valve, with a new one. If I had a valve with me (and I knew or thought it was the issue) I could have replaced it myself. Maybe a couple of hours and the camp host would be upset. But, I had no idea it was the EGR - it could have been a dozen other things from FICM to an O-Ring on an injector. 20 minutes with Ford Software told the tech what the problem was.
And that is the main issue with new engines. You need sophisticated hardware/software to troubleshoot any problem. Not something you can do when stuck in the boonies. Scary since that is where I was headed when it refused to start.
