Gonna install ARB lockers in my Dana 60's. Kinda thinking while I'm in there, I'll replace the rear R&P if I can find something stronger. Dynatrac told me the internals are stock parts, so I'm interested in an aftermarket r&p that will be stronger. What brands are best? Should I have it cryogenically treated?
The guy that just did the diff work on my van kind of implied that the stock Dana Ring and Pinions were some of the toughest around. He said when he installs aftermarket stuff he makes sure the owner is aware of the breakin procedure and even has them sign the reciept that they understand. He said he doesn't worry to much when he uses stock Dana parts. Of course that's not saying there isn't some super beefy stuff out there. From the amount of product failures you seem to run into maybe you should be looking into the Super Duper Beefy stuff.

I’ve never used it but my 4x4 club members speak highly of them.
Just my opinion, I’d call Chris at U-Joint.
