Body Swap E350 RB....Maybe!

Not sure if this is the place, but I will start here. I started a thread a few weeks ago when I wrecked my SMB (Titled Sad Day) Well I have her home and been looking and thinking a lot on what to do. I will start with everyone I talk to (including myself) thinks that the motor is all good. It appears that the cylinders are full of oil after being on its side for 4 hrs, and now there is oil dripping from the exhaust. I do remember that I was shocked that when the dust settled the van was not running, evidently there are many sensors to shut it down in the event of a roll over. OK, first I want to get her running if possible, even if I sell the van. Another option is a complete body swap. My question is do I have to use a 7.3 van or will a 6.0 work? Not sure if everything will work from a 6.0 (mine is a 7.3) I am just not sure if they would talk to each other. Any help would be much appreciated. thanks...kt

For the lack of complexity, stick with the same year and motor. I've seen too many variations even in the same year. Just weird stuff Ford did...

Agreed. Chris at Ujoint has done body off frames a million times and can probably give you some advice. It's a lot of work though. I once asked him about doing a body swap and his first advice was "don't do it!"

Good luck whatever you decide.
