Brake upgrade for 2006 Quigley

Probably a thread on here but i can't search from my phone very well on vacation. Had my 2006 stock Quigley taken in while I am gone to work on the brakes. They called and told me I have to replace the rotors and only Quigley has them. Not going to be cheap. Is there and upgrade out there that I can do instead even if I need larger wheels etc. I have the stock wheels it came with. The shop is telling me I can only use the original Quigley rotors as there were trimmed or cut??

Re: Brake upgrade for 2006 Quigley

What they are telling you is correct. Quigley machines the rotors so that they will accommodate the ABS sensor or something like that.

I replaced our rotors in late 2003 (and am still running the same rotors). I replaced the stock rotors with drilled/slotted rotors from the Brake Warehouse. At that time, the rotors were $144 each. With the pads and shipping to Quigley, the cost to the Brake Warehouse was $400. Quigley charged me $50 to machine the two rotors and about $40 to ship them to me. Installation locally with the parts supplied by myself came to $415. So...the whole bill was about $400 for parts, $90 for Quigley's efforts, and $415 for installation or just under a $1000 for using the brakes too much coming down I-80 from Donner Summit...

Good luck...
