I'm a little late to this party, but here's some reading on injector fouling/coking issues:

The plate is a stiffener to compensate for trimming the crossmember.

That's what Peter at SMB told me it was for as well. Just cant believe for one minute that, that plate would stop a mechanic from servicing a know serviceable part like an injector? I still think the mechanic was just looking for ways to not do the complete job I asked for. Now they did say that removing the engine for the bullet proofing was extremely tight. They were using the Ford factory mount to lift and remove the engine from the van and they did comment on how tight it was getting it out because of that plate?
Anyways its running good , this will give me some time to track down a mechanic who can deal with these vans.

Hello Joe,
I do appreciate the recommendations, Thank you!
Ive had some 4x4 stuff done with Nichols! They are a really great group of guys over there. I had no issues dealing with Kevin and his crew! I'm not sure how much diesel stuff they do, I will have to stop by and ask!
I will look up Bonds and see what they are up to. So far so good with the van! Its been running great and being verified with the gauge package from Edge. Numbers look great and rattles just like the 6.0 should!
Thank you Joe!
