Diesel mechanic in San Diego

Hey everyone, I just picked up an '06 E350 with 6.0 diesel. I want to start a relationship with a good diesel mechanic in San Diego ASAP. I have a couple leads, but figured I'd check in here also. Any recommendations let me know. Thanks!

- Pat

I’ve used Diesel Doctor in San Diego. They installed my Bullet Proof Diesel Parts. Good guys.

Buds diesel built my 6.0 from scratch with previous owner. Supposed have a great reputation. My engine is way overkill on the bulletproof scale. Cryogenically treated etc.

try the map

Try the map posted here...it's a ongoing compilation of mechanics/shops, and other stuff based upon recommendations from forum members. There's a lot more to add to the map, but this should help.

The shops closest to San Diego are Diesel Doctor, East County Diesel, and Buds.

East County Diesel in El Cajon does a lot of 6.0s. They did mine, pulled the engine, updated the weak points and added a custom tune. I couldn't be happier.

Hello Chris. I see you live in Ramona. Did you try MDS Diesel service there?
The people that bought my 1st van had them "bulletproof" it. That's who I
was gonna suggest to Pat-ohhhh. Right next door to All about fun RV. They
installed a solar panel and controller for me. Good people.

Haven't tried MDS Diesel, thanks for the tip.

One of the things that I appreciated about East County Diesel was that they were thoughtful about which mods. to install. They don't automatically put in everything with the name "Bulletproof". Also, several of the mechanics drive 6.0s themselves and are enthusiasts.
