Full Float Axle - Straight Swap In? 2003 Van - 2011 Axle

Hey guys, I combed the forum, through some long threads, but found no definitive answer. In fact my research created more questions.
What I have: 2003 E-350 EB, 5.4 V8, 2x4, SF axle, LSD 3.55, Penthouse, SMB

What I found: a full floater axle from a 2011 E-250 van with everything (complete brakes, etc) 4.10 gears (what I want), limited slip (yeap), seller says 67k miles aprox,
BOM: 2013128-4
BOM says it's good for a E-350.

My question is: This model / year axle, is it a straight install into my van?
My concerns: Will the brakes be too big for my 16" wheels; Is the ABS the same or close enough; The 2011 has traction control, my van doesn't, does that matter?; Would any fabrication be needed if the above is not a concern; It seems the FF axle could be wider, is that a concern?. Anything I missed?

Right now I don't have time to buy a project. But if this FF axle would install into my van with minimal changes or fabrication, then I'd go out of my way to drag it home.

Thanks for your wisdom on this!

The brakes are compatible with 16" OEM wheels and *some* aftermarket alloy wheels.

ABS is not compatible without changes. 2011 axle has wheel speed sensors. You could add a speed sensor to the differential, but that would require adding the tone ring to the carrier and drilling and tapping the speed sensor holes. There may be a way to split and convert the transmission tail-shaft speed sensor, but I have not tried that.

2011 also uses separate left and right brake lines, but that's easy enough to plumb together with a tee.

Hmmm, sounds more complicated than just having a shop 'simply swap it out' for my axle.

If anyone in SoCal, with a newer E-series needs a full float axle, here it is:
https://inlandempire.craigslist.org/pts/6024203972.html

Seems like a great deal if it's not worn out in someway.

Keeping the ABS working might take a little thought. Other than that it wouldn't be that complicated, brake lines / parking brake would need to be fitted but that's easy.

While I was at 2 Pick Your Part yards in Long Beach last week I saw 2 E350 vans with full floaters in them. I was kinda surprised to see them still intact.

That axle has to be off an SRW box van right?? I don't think they made the FF in RSC in 2011.

But I could be dead wrong.

So if it was a box van, no RSC?
Also, don't the box vans come with a wider axle?

Box vans do not have RSC but its mostly irrelevant because in2008 they all got 4-channel ABS systems, which basically is the RSC hardware minus RSC module.

Cutaways with the midship fuel tank use the same width rear axle as the vans. Single-rear-wheel cutaways with rear fuel tank are 4" wider than the vans.

So would that axle have the correct RSC plugin for a 2013?? Or is it just the ABS sensor and tone ring the RSC is reading anyway?

Sorry I can't get this through my thick head. I would some day like to get a FF on my rig. If an axle like this is plug and play, the it's a no brainer.

A 2011 Full float will be compatible with an RSC, and would be plug and play.
