I'm another saying good going on getting your problems resolved and back on the road.

However it seem if one does a Google search for "testicle festival" the amount of returned results is pretty "amazing"---take that for what its worth.

Garage
I would also inspect the in tank filter screens. Mine were completely clogged and would starve the fuel system. 30 min of smooth driving then no power. Got turned down from a ford dealer and had to drop the tank in a bank parking lot. A little “fix” and I was back on the road with more power than I ever experienced with my van.

I later swapped the tank for a 40gallon from Agile and did a proper repair. Still no problems 7k miles later.

Corn in your Fuel.. Likely you have Gummed up fuel lines pump etc .. This is the worst thing about Diesel Fuel today.. IT has so much Corn in it. It will over time gum up the insides of your Fuel system. Replace all Injectors. and Replace the inner Fuel Screens in your Tank.!. Good Luck!

I’ve been driving the past two days and didn’t get a chance to update...
Here’s a bit more to the story.

Prior to the vacation across the Midwest, I had all fluids and filter changed. Everything was good until I filled up at a Flying J in Omaha.
I noticed some sputtering initially but powered through it. Eventually the van started losing power and topped out at 50 with no power on any small incline.
After being turned down at two Ford Dealers because it was late afternoon on Friday, I found a shop.
First thing the did was inspected all hoses...all good.
They did some tests on the HPOP and determined it was within specs..
Replaced the fuel filter even though I just did it... we hooked up a computer and took a drive...my fuel pump was registering real low under power but the issue had stopped with the new filter... I replaced the fuel pump because it was at (I’m not very familiar with diesels so this is a guess) like 15psi when 50-60 is normal? Anyway, the new fuel pump was within specs and the van drive better than before.
Sooooo.. the shop figured I may have gotten some bad diesel and the fuel pump was also on its way out... so a new fuel filter and pump fixed it.
I’ve driven 1k miles since and no issues...
here’s a pic you might get a good laugh at just for fun...Attachment 28500
That is a photo for the ages!! Glad you found the problem!!

I have one of the last 7.3 out of SMB West in Sept 03.
Sounds like bad fuel or bad filter.
FYI:
There are several sensors on the 7.3.
Air temp (ambient) intake sensor
Injector control Pressure sensor
Exhaust Back Pressure sensor
After I replaced the intake and back pressure sensors....runs better than ever.
I'm at 263,000 and heading to Reno, Colorado Springs and Flaming Gorge this week.
Knocking on wood for no problems. Seeking good golf and good fishing.

Both sides of fuel injectors. Use Ford parts. You have just eliminated on possible problem for the next 60k miles.

Hope it works out.

Avoid all festivals with such names....can’t be a good ending. Ha.

at a shop now... replaced fuel filter...checked fuel pump..@50psi
Hoses all look good..
Ron, I had the same issue a couple years back with my 7.3L. My problem ended up being the turbo resonator. Could be anything with the turbo that would cause it to have this issue. Hope that helps.

I called the number on the testicle Festival Sign.
A recording answered and said it was Round the Bend Steakhouse

Curiouser and curiouser huh?

Or is the Round The Bend Steakhouse simply the world headquarters of The Testicle Festival(s)?
