Help!- SMB won't start !

Went out to move it and I got a "no crank -no start " situation. I have 12.9 volts at the battery, clean battery terminals and all dash lights ,radio etc is working. Turn the key and I can hear relays clicking both under the hood and at the house battery electrical panel. Tried moving the clicking relays in the engine bay with same relays (there's 4) but nothing. Also did the old tap the starter with a hammer thing - no joy.Anyone know of a common problem with this? Googled it but seems to be all F150s - don't know if that matters. It's a 2005 E250 5.4 , any n all help appreciated!

Sounds kinda like when my starter solenoid went. It's on the passenger side inside fender. There's a thread on here somewhere that I started. Are you home or on a trip? Of course this happened to me when I was in northern New Hampshire!

Thankfully I'm home but I was just on a trip home from Asheville less than 2 weeks ago picking up the van from the UJOINT conversion- don't think the problem is related to that because I've been driving it around here a lot since then. Thanks I'll check that solenoid tomorrow!

I definitely have to swing by and see your van now and check out the conversion!

Also, look up my thread from 2014 and check out the discussion of the symptoms. Has something to do with when the engine compartment gets hot and the solenoid overheats. When it cools it will then restart.

Don't think it's getting hot because it was sitting in my driveway in the shade for 2 days- hopefully it the solenoid. If I can get it started I'll drive it over ASAP! Lol

Check to make sure all your battery cables are tight at the terminals. If you have two starting batteries, check both sets. Don't ask me how I know!

Yes!
It was the neutral safety electrical plug on the trans. It was both a little corroded and loose. Ujoint has to remove the trans for the conversion (5.4 engine) so it worked for 2+ weeks then must have been just loose enough to not allow it to start. At least it was in my driveway!
