Re: Losing brake pressure at stops

No signs of external leaks and the fluid level is a little low (below the max line). I'm going to try to tackle the repair this weekend if I can find a level place to jack up my van and bleed the brakes.

If this proves to be the MC and it's replaced DIY make sure to bench bleed it first. Most better quality MC's will include an instruction sheet on the how to----its pretty simple. Failing included instructions YouTube is great too.

Good luck with whatever repairs are needed.

Thanks for the tip!

Re: Losing brake pressure at stops

I'd start by flushing the system, or at least bleeding it a little to assess the quality of the fluid before doing anything else.

Re: Losing brake pressure at stops

I didn't have a chance to get to it last weekend. I'm leaving for NY this weekend for a week so I might not get to it until the end of the month. My biggest problem is finding a level driveway to do the work!

I know I'm not exactly "around the corner" from you, but you're welcome to bring it to my place if you need. I've got the (level) space and the tools.

So what's the word? Problem solved, or waste of time?
