Need rear LS diff rebuilt...What else at sme time?

my 1997 E350 had the rear diff fail on the way home....Its on a lift at a shop and they will terar into to diagnose what it needs on Monday.....What should I consider changing or having done at the same time? its a 1997 with 4:10 gears and limited slip.

Any advice or thoughts welcome. I'm building/prepping the rig for skiing this coming Winter. Already has Dana 60 front axle and quiggley 4 wheel drive with agile RIP kit...

If you tow heavy, a rear diff temp sensor and appropriate gauge is a good investment.

Garage
Mine failed and I never found out why. I just replaced the carrier with the same. It lasted over 12 years.

I would have them do the axle bearings at the wheel ends, especially if a semi-float.
