Re: Sprung a coolant leak

@Silver350
Yes was hoping that would happen free of charge

@Bettyford
Thanx I gathered that this is a common issue... and it is only leaking outwards...
Only thing I would want to ask you is :is there anything particular to be careful about when doing this? I mean these guys are Jeep specialists

No. They can handle it im sure. Assuming they do motor work as well I bet some of those Jeeps have Chevy engines in them.

Re: Sprung a coolant leak

Ok well all seems well... the guys at the shop were all having a beer as it was a bit hard work and my Van is purring like Hal The Van's technical inspector

Well pleased ready for more travel and DIY projects...

After all that emotion I had to compensate : bought a Yamaha XT 660...

My Van's first owner was a dealer using it for local client transport and in 12 years only clocked up 50'000 kms (31 000 miles) I would say that lack of use was probably what brought on the gasket issue. And since I have had the Van I have almost doubled the milage so maybe it was a shock to the old girl
