Although I have not come across any bad reviews for this pump. I was told that the existing fuel pump is mechanical while this unit is not. A mechanical pump will likely show signs of failure, such as gas leaking, instead of going out and leaving you stranded. The engine was designed knowing there is air in the line. It looks like a really neat unit and I may still consider it. But my mechanic made a valid point.
