Re: What would you do?

It'll cost you your flight and day of your time if it doesn't work out. That's the only way you'll know for sure if its right for you.

Or just spend $100-150 for a local Dodge dealer to do a ppi.

How bad do you want it...is the real question.

Re: What would you do?

It depends on what you want to do with it, just be aware as mentioned, if your looking to put any aftermarket stuff in there, or do any type of chassis, lift, 4X4 or performance enhancements, lots harder to find than for the fords and sometimes parts just don't exist.
That dodge chassis is just not built to take any sort of roads other than the ones that are paved....

Re: What would you do?

Thanks everyone for all the advice. Based on a lot of what was discussed, I turned down the sellers counter-offer. Really good information about Dodge engines for the future. Good info about conversions too. Although I have zero interest in 4X4, I did not think about how that can affect resale.

Maybe the van is ok, but I am not in a position to fly out there to check it out beforehand. I hope someone gets it and it turns out to be really great.

At my budget range it is starting to look like a ground build is in my future.
