12v analog Thermostat replacement... hard to find right one

I have an analog thermostat that needs replacing (slight high pitch sound and old looking) in my 2000 van with suburban furnace and star-cool 3 AC.
My old t-stat has 4 wires (RH, RC, W, and Y terminals).
I have bought two that are incompatible.
Has anyone replaced one of this era? Wondering if the Coleman Mach series would work?

I recently replaced our thermostat with a LUX TX 700U. We have a Suburban furnace but no AC but the thermostat will control both. It is programmable and includes a remote which lets you turn up the heat without getting out of bed.

Thanks for your input! I called SMB and he said that my thermostat is not made anymore. And no options offered.
By chance, do you remember if your new LUX have the terminals I listed above?

I used a Coleman Mach and like it a lot, however I didn't have Starcool.

No options offered on a thermostat? They're basically a switch, you just have to match some wires on the fancier ones. I'd give the Coleman Mach a try if you don't go for the LUX above. I really liked mine. It does control heat and AC and is available in black, which I wanted.

Ok, thanks.
Yeah, I'm not savvy on electrical, and I would really like to match RC, RH, W, Y up to corresponding terminals... That's all.
I saw that black Coleman Mach, and I think that is what I'll try next!
No options offered from SMB. I guess they didn't want to sell me a new switch!

I'm not all that savvy either, just lots of trial and error in my past. I got really frustrated putting one in a some camper/van/whatever years ago so I called customer service on the thermostat and the agent said that basically, it's just a switch, really, you just have to match things up to where you're properly triggering the switch for heating and cooling. So, if it doesn't make sense when you get it call Coleman customer support. If a thermostat controlled your Starcool before almost any replacement should be able to.

Keep us posted

The LUX website with their product instruction manuals is offline right now. I have the .pdf file but I don't think that I can attach it to a PM. Send me an email at jack@yosemitevalleyrr.com and I'll send you the .pdf file which will answer your question.
