CO detector went off -- can't figure out why

Are these detectors intended specifically for use in vehicles?

If not could the movement and jarring be at the root of these false alarms?

Yes, they are special 12v RV units.

The major design aspect of the detector is to alarm if anything goes wrong. So the #1 failure mode is going to be the alarm going off.
